I am currently varnishing and framing this painting. I am putting together a collection of work for a new gallery I am working with. The gallery is called the Grand Bohemian Gallery, there are a number of them around the country at high end resorts.

A couple recent works that pair well, influence from morning hikes. Starting with small studies can either lead to larger pieces or satisfy the need.

Intense colors and strong contrast really gives this painting a lot of impact.

An older painting I recently dug up. I put a couple more hours into it and like the result. I rarely go back to older work unless I need a surface to paint on.

Varnished, framed, packed and shipped. It all takes a lot of extra time but it is a critical part of the gig. This one is now in the hands of FedEx, shipping to Alabama.

I just finished this small misty piece. It has some really intriguing marks and subtle color shifts I really like.

This one resides in Kirkland, Washington with some of my favorite people.

I finished this apocalyptic beauty over the weekend. This image is from a high resolution photograph in my studio this morning.

More inspiration from the forest. I am very fortunate to live close to a National Forest trailhead. I have been using it constantly and it renews my inspiration daily. With so much snow already building up, not sure if I will be able to keep it up… I will try.

I have been painting some of the local colors I see on my early morning hikes. Now it seems that winter has snuck in. This morning I will see if the trail is treacherous. No doubt there will be some winter imagery in the future.
