Another small painting! The brush partly for scale, mostly for painting.

I am sending three 5″x5″ paintings to Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado. They are having a small works show and asked if I had time to paint any. These are in the mail on their way now!

Lately I have been working on some small paintings! I have some very large panels patiently waiting in the wings so stay tuned!

I have been working on this commission, inspired by the big open spaces of Montana. I really enjoyed the subtle blending of hues in the field, the glow of light. I just love that kind of country!

Painting some small works for an upcoming exhibit. Considering a new life as a hand model.

Water and light have always drawn me in. The endless shifting of shapes and colors has a meditative quality. Slowly you drift.

I accidentally made some kind of new fangled clock! Turns out it is later than I thought…

I captured a proper digital image of this painting. Trying to keep up on this sort of thing!
This will be going to my solo show in Astoria, Oregon in mid July. It promises to be a pretty interesting collection!

I am not going back to alaska anytime soon, sadly. This painting is a commission I am finalizing, inspired by Alaska. I would love to get back up there again!

Just for fun I decided to paint some some small round paintings. I started with three owl portraits, which I displayed in a previous post. On my birthday I caught a massive mackinaw (lake trout) and decided to do some trout portraits! This is the newest painting, I love the strange dark vibe. I am going to do one more portrait and then wade back into my landscape work!
