The weather is cooling and I’m already pining for summer, time rushes past. This little 10″x8″ painting is an ode to summer, painted on a wooden panel.

Coming Home
This painting has shipped off to it’s new home in Texas! It is a 20″x16″ painting that I just picked up from my solo show in Pendleton, Oregon.
This painting was part of a storm series I had started working on over the summer. Inspired by some rather overwhelming early summer storms that were shockingly beautiful and probably contributed to our summer forest fires.
Bonfire
As the summer gives way to fall I continue to paint smaller works. This painting is 11″x14″ acrylic/open acrylic on panel.
Lullaby 14”x11”
Delicate atmospherics above the big water. A subject that is always intriguing to me, keeps drawing me back.
Mist and Distance 14”x11”
I have returned from Pendleton, closing out my most recent solo show. I came over to the studio to prep some paintings for shipment and decided to get a photo of this painting.
Safe travels on this Labor Day weekend!
Hidden Moon paintings
A couple of small nocturnal paintings I have recently finished. This paintings are on 8″x10″ panels. I have worked up a small collection of four that I will post soon! I plan on doing some larger paintings with this late night vibe.
Dragon Fire
I have been painting slightly larger fire paintings. This one is 14″x11″ so not very large but it gives me more room to play with the imagery.
I wanted to paint fire with wind blasting away at it, causing it to rage all the more. I really like the result but it does make me think of dragons.
Your Fire
I have painted some small campfire paintings with the intention of eventually working on larger ones. Currently the largest boards I have prepped are 11″x14″ so I decided to paint some at that size. Just large enough to give me more freedom of movement!
I sold this one before I posted it on Instagram. The woman who purchased it saw it on my “story” which is a video limited to 24 hours. She lives in Kuwait, excited to be sending work to a country I have not mailed to previously!
Western Burn
I had a small piece of board left over so I painted this little 6″x3″ painting. Inspired by the horrible wildfires of the Western United States and Canada.
It is so sad to see and smell the smoke this summer, seems to be worst every year. I read that the fire season in Idaho has grown by more than 70 days in the last 20 years. If there is a silver lining it can look very beautiful at least twice a day.
Calling
I had this deep cradled board in my studio for years and never used it. I found it recently when I was trying, once again, to clean the studio. It was really fun to work on such a vertical piece! The dimensions are 12″x24″.
