I am painting a series of forest images featuring brooding skies. The low winter sun lighting up the trees in such a dark winter world is staggering.

Happy to learn this painting sold through Abend Gallery in Denver. Happy New Year!

A couple recent works that pair well, influence from morning hikes. Starting with small studies can either lead to larger pieces or satisfy the need.

Morning light shining through the fall leaves, hard not to love such a delight. I was greeted with fresh snow this morning, winter is eager.

My ongoing collection of small forest paintings. I am not taking the mornings for granted.

Eye makes a special appearance. I was excited to paint trees catching the morning light. I am hiking early every morning, it is an inspiration.

A little collection of moody forest paintings.

More from my upcoming solo show at Abend Gallery in Denver. The exhibit opens August 12th!

Working on some small studies. Filling the time between varnishing and frame art for my upcoming show.

The two paintings on the right were sent to the “Woodland Show” at Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan. They sold to a newlywed couple traveling on their honeymoon. A beautiful story to close out the show.
