Sometimes a video is a better way to show a painting. This one was sold and shipped to Western Washington.

MyTube
Check out my newest YouTube video. Subscribe if you are interested in future videos! It takes some time to put this sort of thing together, fun but it ain’t painting. Trying to avoid sitting at the computer but I will probably be adding a video once a week.
YouTube
I just started a YouTube channel! I have been meaning to do this for years, people constantly asking me if I have one. Well now I do!
In the last week I posted a few super short clips I filmed in the studio. Today I edited my first proper video with text and music. I occasionally put together videos in my other life as a video game artist. It was so rare though that the software was always new to me and it took ages to sort out. So this one I put together with iMovie on my Apple laptop. Having never used iMovie, I was hesitant but it was incredibly simple. Check it out if you get a chance. I will be doing a lot more work on YouTube in the coming year!
Reflections 9”x7”
I made this little video of the painting in progress. It is on a paintbook by “edge pro gear”. A pretty slick setup made for outdoor painting but it works great in a studio as well. It has a light mounted on top which provides amazing lighting to work with. It uses magnets to hold the artwork to the box.

Water Study
This is a little water Study I painted last night. Summer colors ae months away from my actual surroundings!
It is 10″x10″ acrylic/open acrylic painting. Interesting watching the light shift along the surface so I made a video!
Great Blue
This is a video of a Great Blue Heron flying with a fish in it’s beak.
I have never seen a heron grab a fish in the middle of a lake. They are big wading birds that wonder along shorelines. They frequently stand still for extended periods and can be easy to miss, blending with limbs and vegetation. I spotted this particular heron hundreds of feet from shore flapping around in a frenzied manner on the surface of the lake. When it finally left the water it flew towards me and I could see it had captured a pretty good meal! It is a little tricky spotting the fish from the iPhone video but I would guess it was well over a foot long.
MotionPortrait
These videos were made using the MotionPortrait app. Clearly the self portrait works a lot better But the owl is still amusing!
