The Poet Tells 20”x16”
I am working on a series of storm inspired paintings. Watching a big thunderstorm crawl across the expansive lake gives one a sense of place, a very small place. This particular painting is much more of a calm meditative image. They will get more apocalyptic!
Some Golden Tomorrow
This little 14″x11″ painting is a studio in atmosphere and light, like so much of my work.
I am working on a bunch of new paintings for my upcoming Pendleton, Oregon solo show. I will put this one in a floating frame for the show!
Evening Passage 20”x16”
This is a very recent open acrylic painting. The edges of day and night are always inspiring and contemplative. The mood can be tranquil but there is also the reminder of our time passing.
Throwback Thursday
I know it’s silly but what the heck! These acrylic paintings now reside in Hong Kong, I have sent a surprising amount of work to different folks there… I should be getting better at geography. My art has seen much more of the world than I have… though I have done some traveling!
Small Commission
This is part of a collection of paintings I am doing on commission. The painting is 7″x9″ and it won’t actually have this frame as the client has something else in mind. This frame actually covers too much of the painting in my mind, when a work is this small every bit counts!

Bound for Italy
This 12″x9″ painting is on it’s way to Florence, Italy. A beautiful place haven’t been since I was young.
It is a busy week of packing up art and mailing it all over the country and world. Washington, California, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, England, and Italy. I feel really honored to have so much interest in my work.
One day soon I hope to be done with my day job so I can focus on the work I really love.
Recent Water
A quick snapshot of my studio counter top. I had been working on some small pieces but now will move onto larger works. I was approached about having a show in Astoria, Oregon in June… I couldn’t say no!

Lake Pend Oreille has been a source of inspiration for a number of years. This is a fairly typical view when the weather is feeling gloomy.
