A couple of colorful mini paintings! I am painting tiny paintings as I work on large scale pieces. Keeping the plates spinning.

Continuing on with my forest imagery. I am putting together a collection of paintings for my “Woodlands” exhibit opening in May. The exhibit is at Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan.

Another tribute to the beauty of winter light. So glad the days are getting longer, gradual as it is.

A year ago I had a solo show at Elliott Fouts Gallery. This is one of the many pieces sold at that exhibit. I flew down for the opening, such a fun trip and great gallery. Part of the appeal of solo shows is the adventure!

This painting is part of a collection of works I am putting together for my first show of the year. The show is called “Woodlands”, it is a two person show. My paintings and some intriguing sculptures by another artist. The gallery is called Higher Art Gallery. The exhibit opens May 1st, happens to be my birthday.

A proper photo of this painting. I am building a body of work for two major exhibits this year.
Light and atmospherics are always part of my painting. This one is especially powerful in person.

Lightning helps clear a person’s mind. I am chased off the lake by storms at least twice every summer.
It is nice to work on a larger scale again. I have some 40″x30″ panels ready so will be working even larger!

Studio light alone shines on this moonscape commission. Last look at this one, it was packed up and shipped to its new home.

A little commission I finished yesterday morning. These days I am focusing on my upcoming exhibits but I am still taking a few commissions to keep things rolling.

A meditation cloaked in winter.
The title sounds like I am putting down some nice lady but I don’t know any Dawns!
