Winter continues to paint my world. I was not planning more winter scenes but it is drawing me in with its silent magic.

This painting was sold through Momentum Gallery a couple years back. Great gallery and a successful solo exhibit, all of the paintings were sold!!
I decided to take the year of from solo exhibits for the first time in nearly a decade. I am focusing on commissions and providing work to my favorite galleries. I am hoping to do another solo show in Asheville in 2024… hopefully I can attend that one. I hear nothing but love for that community and area.

A new winter scene on the studio easel. I love nature, it is a constant source of inspiration and joy. I tend to use nature as a jumping off point. My paintings tend to be fantastical dreamscapes, this is a good example. The paint is also the subject, I obsess over paint blending and mark making.

A new painting, probably finished but I am setting on my newly installed studio shelf while I switch gears and turn it up to 11.

A large seascape in the studio. I love empty atmospheric paintings. This is a landscape void of land, filled with light. Check out the goofy reel to see it moving around in my studio!

I have been rearranging and clearing out my studio for a few months. Trying to optimize the space and make it more aesthetically pleasing. Along the way I have found some forgotten paintings that I really like. These two were from 2018, They will be on display in my studio once again!

I was pleased to learn that this painting sold through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I am painting a lot of forest scenes these days. No plans, I follow my enthusiasm… my number one rule. Really the only rule I adhere to, I dislike rules.
I was happy to sell this new painting to a collector in Denver. The painting is on canvas panel so I skipped the floater frame and went with a different style… lucky he also loved the gold frame!

Final image and details from this commissioned piece. The commission was arranged through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina.

A bit of January’s mood on canvas panel. Each day we gain about a minute of added daylight. I am slowing the passing of time by monitoring this glacial change.
