These four paintings are now at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp Washington. I am having a show called “Darkening Light” at that Gallery and it opens this Friday (running through early November). I brought approximately 20 paintings in total for the show.

Rainbow #3
This is a painting I did a bit over a year ago. I painted 5 trout images and a less then flattering but reasonably accurate self portrait. I was painting small 10″x10″ paintings as I was between studios. I discovered that they made a really cool single art piece when hung together. Now that I am in a great new studio space I have been digging through works for some upcoming shows and rediscovered these. People keep trying to buy the individual fish paintings, curiously no one wants the self portrait! For whatever reason I refuse to break up the band and am going to hang them all together in my new studio…
Darkening Sky
I recently completed this 14″X11″ acrylic painting. I was very pleased with the feel of this particular piece. I have been on a vacation but I am very eager to get back to the paint!
Big Country
I recently finished this 16″x16″ painting. Here it is on one of my work tables that is quickly becoming covered with paint as well!
Wait
This is an older painting, two years old. I had been painting desolated man made objects working out the beginning of a series. I had four other chair paintings they all sold aside from this one. “Wait” was actually my favorite of the bunch so now I am pleased to hang it up in the studio. Perhaps I will revisit the idea in the future.
Drawer of paintings
I have some really large storage drawers in my studio. I have found the are not only great for storage but a great way to protect drying artwork.
“The Fade”
I painted this moody little waterscape and a nice guy (chap?) from Oxford purchased it. This particular painting is 10″x8″.
Thunder
This is a 14″x11″ acrylic painting I recently completed. I am playing around with some relatively small paintings while I prepare a large board for a commission.
Studio Wall
Fun to hang some paintings up temporarily on the studio wall. Some of these were part of a commission and have now moved out.
I installed some rails to hang paintings on which will help keep the studio organized and more easily allow me to observe my recent works.
Silence
One of the four 24″x24″ Lake Pend Oreille paintings I recently completed on commission.
