Things go wrong, it happens all the time. I had just varnished this painting over the weekend. It was going to a gallery I work with in Florida… now it will be sanded down. Sometimes I hurry when I should take my time. It’s a bummer but I will paint something better…creation is medicine.
If only I had tossed soup on the painting, I could have saved the world.

I feel bad for the letter “Z”. I’m sure it never wanted to be the new swastika. There are too many monsters in the world but they are only human.
This painting is headed for Haven Gallery in New York! It will be part of an upcoming Uffizi themed show. This painting was inspired by “The Duke and Dutchess of Urbino” by Piero della Francesca. I saw the painting in person when I visited Florence in my younger days.

This brooding painting is currently available at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. I have always been a fan of moody skies and this one definitely brings a mood!
I put my life into a very short clip.

This is a studio favorite. I have avoided the urge to ship it to any galleries thus far. Enjoy your weekend.

November 1st I will have a drawing to giveaway this color study to one lucky subscriber on my Instagram account. I am considering doing this every month if it goes well. Subscription is 99¢ a month.

This is all an experiment. I have found making a living as an artist requires a lot of hustle and alternate income sources. I would love to hear from other artists… how do you make ends meet?

This painting really captures the low light color show I see up here in North Idaho. This painting is currently available through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.

This new painting is now available through the Grande Bohemian Gallery in St. Augustine, Florida! This one has an incredible sense of atmosphere and light when you see it in person… never really comes across here.
