This painting packed a lot of power on a little board. We get some amazing lightning shows in North Idaho.

A painting from December that has since sold. I plan to revisit this idea in a much larger format.

This photo was taken nearly a year ago. I am constantly thinking about the passing of time and how I spend it. It is true you spend time like money but it cannot be replenished. The clock is ticking, can I make the most of this day? I continue to paint each day. It is how I pay my bills but it is also my passion in life. All we can do is follow our enthusiasms and appreciate the good time while we have it.

I have always been obsessed with clouds. One of my friends is still irritated that he got pulled over on I-90 because I was trying to get him to look at some clouds and distracted him. If I remember right, the clouds were spectacular.

I am painting a series of forest images featuring brooding skies. The low winter sun lighting up the trees in such a dark winter world is staggering.
