A bit of January’s mood on canvas panel. Each day we gain about a minute of added daylight. I am slowing the passing of time by monitoring this glacial change.

I was pleased to learn that this painting was sold through Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado. Really top notch gallery.

The beauty of winter, an irresistible lure for my brush. The season is long in North Idaho, this one really started early. Like all things it will end, reveling in its splendor while it is visiting.

An intensely colorful painting that has a great vibe. I have been doing a number of 12”x16” boards of late. Eager to move onto some larger pieces now.

I love the winter solstice. The days will once again stretch out and we can look forward to the light. In the meantime we can enjoy the low sun magic and winter landscape.

I was pleased to be interviewed by “Art Chowder Magazine” last summer. Last night I was scrolling through twitter and saw that the magazine reposted this, thought I would share it here!

Playing around with some 12”x16” canvas panels in the studio. A bit of exploration for potential larger works to come.

A newly completed commission, arranged through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. Some very sweet art collectors have been patiently waiting for me to finish this one!
This is an unusual size so I had the board custom made. In the past I have built my own boards but it is more time away from painting.

A small painting to represent the season. Heavy snowfall in my part of the world.

More nature adoration happening in my studio this weekend. Driven to paint landscapes void of mankind. I am the type of person that likes my experiences in the wild to be without bipedal intrusion. I have always been a loner.
