October already? These months are changing far too fast. I always dread the long darkness of the seasons we are entering. But my studio focus becomes even more intense, it keeps me enthusiastic and motivated.

I am continuing my collection of smaller 12”x16” acrylic paintings. I have prepared a lot of boards this size and want to use them all before I move onto larger work. Seeking inspiration from my own work to pursue some larger pieces, that is my plan. My part of the world is my ultimate muse, the use of paint a close rival.

My ongoing collection of small forest paintings. I am not taking the mornings for granted.

One of the new large-scale paintings I am working on in the studio. Currently I am preparing more large panels as I paint. Excited to devote much more time to epic work.
This is the newest acrylic painting I have completed. I am putting more pieces together for the “Shadows of the West” show. My goal here is to create what amounts to a really atmospheric still life painting. I want it to have a very ghostly ethereal quality, not entirely there. I found a bit of success with this particular painting. I am currently working on a couple other paintings with a similar approach, hopefully I will be able to post another one next week!
