The moon is always so beautiful, such an intriguing subject. I wanted to capture the last fade of sunlight as the night takes over the hours. I just finished this piece, it may be part of my upcoming solo show, decision time is at hand.

A new nocturne painting in the studio. I really love the mood of this piece. I might pursue some larger variations on this theme.

I new nocturnal painting on a square cradled 18” wood panel.
This one was painted using a limitation color palette, maximum mood. I use a limited palette always, primary colors plus magenta. They were mixed down to a narrow spectrum for this painting.
An instagram reel of “witness”, a WIP. Painting the moon and nocturnal scenes is definitely a challenge. I am enjoying this painting!

More nocturnal painting happening in the studio. Outside the wind is howling and everything is frozen. The moon is beautiful yet indifferent.

Every season has it’s charm. It still feels exciting to walk outside at night when it’s warm.

Playing around with some nocturnal cloudscapes.

This painting is part of my solo show at Abend Gallery in Denver, opening August 12th. Digging deep for this exhibit.
Shout into dark, deepen the word.

Moonlight as inspiration on this painting.
