A proper digital photo of this piece. It feels appropriate for a Monday somehow.

Drawing deep the air is cold water. The wind numbing it shutters my fear. A little peace while the sun is shining.

Summer,
Once again you made me your fool. All those warm days and late nights the sun barely resting. I tried so hard to keep you by my side.
Now you are off to some southern land. I laugh as you go but I will never forgive you. I prize my solitude and I will cling to the darkness. Maybe I will pine over an old photo of you this winter. In April a sparrow might spark a faint memory.
Damn, I just want you to come back.

This painting is at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina. I have painted many sunsets, this was a good one. The vertical format and warm water reflections really made this one.

Where has the summer gone? I am working on pieces for an October show and already dreading summers departure. Dig deep, that’s all there is to do.

This one of two paintings I have at Gallery MAR Carmel in Carmel, California. I dropped in to check out the gallery when I was on my California vacation. Great gallery in a cool town!

Today is the final day for my exhibit “Apocalyptic Beauty” at the RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. This painting is part of my collection of work… last chance today!

We get some pretty dramatic storms in North Idaho. Lightning is always exciting if not a little terrifying. It has inspired imagery I have considered playing around with for a while… starting small with this one.

A painting sold this this spring through Robert Lange Studios. The studio/gallery represents some really talented artists and is located in Charleston, South Carolina.

I am at the tail end of a much needed vacation but here is a little apocalyptic memory from the studio!
