The smoke rolled in this weekend. I am trying to paint some better days.

Heartbreaking as it fades.

The west filled with smoke, the sunsets filled with color.

This painting sold at my solo show at Abend Gallery in Denver. The show wraps up in 6 days.

This painting sold through Abend Gallery, part of my current solo show. Labor Day weekend started with a fire on the mountain I live below. Some folks lost everything and the forest caught fire, luckily it seems to be out now. I paint this sort of thing but I don’t take it lightly. Fire is amazing, beautiful and utterly terrifying.

The magic of sun and water.

Final photograph of this painting in the studio.

One of three square water panels I have been painting. Water is always a fascination and inspiration in my work. The simplicity and incredible complexity so mesmerizing. A mirror of the world.

Every season has it’s charm. It still feels exciting to walk outside at night when it’s warm.

This painting sold through Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Fires are always raging in the world, metaphorically and quite literally.
