Time
Healing wounds through obliteration. The erosion of every living thing. Document and memorialize, the void is gaping thee.

This painting is part of a collection of works I am putting together for my first show of the year. The show is called “Woodlands”, it is a two person show. My paintings and some intriguing sculptures by another artist. The gallery is called Higher Art Gallery. The exhibit opens May 1st, happens to be my birthday.

Lightning helps clear a person’s mind. I am chased off the lake by storms at least twice every summer.
It is nice to work on a larger scale again. I have some 40″x30″ panels ready so will be working even larger!

One of five paintings I have been preparing to ship to Wyoming. These are all 12″ paintings framed with black floater frames. These frames have become my default. The frames present the entire painting rather than covering the edges. They provide a clean modern look that works well with most of my work.

A painting from a couple months back. This piece is relatively simple but there is a quality I adore.

Looking up at snow covered branches. I am endlessly dragging them off the driveway, hoping my timing isn’t wrong.

The other day we received 8″ of snow. It is always startling to wake up to such a dramatic shift in the world.
I abandoned what I was working on in the studio and did a couple moody snow scenes. Fun capturing the vibe right outside my window.
It was too early to be awake.
I reached for the phone, 3:00 AM. The terrible dead-zone of night.
Something I must remember. Was it important or maybe a secret? Perhaps just a bill I had forgotten to pay. It’ll come to me if I can just get back to sleep, I’m sure it will.

A modest sized acrylic painting. Continuing some rainbow exploration. I have some very large art panels waiting for me!
