I am always intrigued by light and the ethereal nature of clouds.

I love dramatic weather. Capturing a sense of that power and feel is an exciting challenge. This one will be at my August solo show at Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

Monday was my 47th consecutive day working in the studio. Truly hitting the wall and burning out. An amazing winter squall came raging through, I was back on board.

Springtime Dreams
20”x16”, acrylic
Just a little springtime fantasy painting.

I often wish I lived on an island. In a way I suppose I do.

I have a number of projects ongoing today, everyday. This one has a great feel.
On a related note, I always aim to rise above. It seems awful easy to be drug down into the mud.

An older piece that now resides in Hong King.

Straight on photo of this painting sitting on my largest easel.

A painting inspired by the ridge that blocks much of the low winter sun. We have loads of snow coming which is inspiring a lot of winter artwork this year.
Though the daylight is brief the combination of snow and moon last night made for a magical evening. I guess it’s only a matter of time before I paint some large moonlight related imagery.
