Another look at this painting. A look at it in the studio in video form. I find myself “stuck” in Europe due to a family medical emergency. I was eager to get back to my work in the studio but life is filled with the unexpected.

A small painting on the easel. I love the mark making and flow that this little painting exhibits. More ideas to pursue…”
This new painting is now complete. I love painting dramatic sky scapes and seascapes. I still need to sign, varnish and frame so a bit more to do. If I end up shipping this to a client or gallery that is another step!

This small painting really connected with me. I love to create tension and movement when I paint. I have placed this on one of my studio shelves for further reflection. A massive version would be pretty compelling.

I have 6 square 18” boards that I am painting at the moment. Continuing to chase moody atmospherics. This one is still a work in progress but it is getting there.

This is one of a few large atmospheric paintings I am currently working on in the studio. I recently returned from a long cruise, more ocean related adventures coming this summer. Adventures take me away from the studio but they also fuel my desires.

A new painting on the easel in my studio today! I continue my obsession with atmosphere, light and lakes of the north. I wish I could hold onto the moments and feelings. Painting is the only way I know.

A moody new painting on the easel. Inspiration from Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho.

The finished painting of “Spring’s Promise”. I am leaning into the beauty of the lake and sunshine as our temperatures in North Idaho are suddenly skyrocketing. When I started this painting the snow was piled up, now it is in the mud 80’s… big change in a month.

This painting was sold a couple years ago through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I am currently witnessing a lot of gorgeous seas and contemplating future paintings. It has been a gift to have a long and only briefly planned voyage to the Caribbean with one of my best buddies. I definitely have been thinking about painting relentlessly, eager to get back to my work.
