Apology is the word for you. Moments gone to time and dust. Tongue still dry it whispers dark. Howling low it knows the tune.

Apology is the word for you. Moments gone to time and dust. Tongue still dry it whispers dark. Howling low it knows the tune.

Drawn to Dark, you antiflame. Vibrations will not stop, still it turns. Threaded and lost in the eddy of fear. My bleeding gums shine bright.

I am awake in the dark, pretending otherwise. Breathing slow, remaining still. Dread crawls the ladder of my spine.

Inspiration from the dark end of the day. This one is at the Higher Art Gallery exhibit “The Woodland”. For sale through the gallery website!
Rushing winds on stagnant water. Life’s elements decay in dark. Reaching out, your friends now gone forever. The shutter dulls a ceaseless pain. There was a time I may have whispered into you.

Studio light alone shines on this moonscape commission. Last look at this one, it was packed up and shipped to its new home.

A small painting I did as a commission. I am going to make some large moon related paintings so this was a nice warmup.
When the moon comes out in the winter it seems especially magic. The light is so limited in January.

Finalizing some paintings for Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. The frames are ordered but they all need to be signed and varnished this weekend.
It was too early to be awake.
I reached for the phone, 3:00 AM. The terrible dead-zone of night.
Something I must remember. Was it important or maybe a secret? Perhaps just a bill I had forgotten to pay. It’ll come to me if I can just get back to sleep, I’m sure it will.

Dark Thoughts
It is a stream darkly meandering.
Negativity eroding the shore.
Stay dry, the current is strong.

I often hear about Holiday depression. This year I seem to be feeling it. A terrible dread and sense of hopelessness. Perhaps it is a chemical thing. Maybe something to do with the sun failing to rise above the hill. I posted something regrettable last night on WordPress, I am sorry for that. I hope everyone is doing well this Holiday Season.
