This collection of recent paintings are on their way to England. Now my art travels a lot more than I do!

Small and colorful

Two colorful little acrylic paintings each 7″x9″. I have some little boards I have been painting on trying out in frames and then sanding off after a while. These two haven’t been sanded yet! Who knows what the future holds.
Water in the frame

Testing out a frame on this 9″x7″. Frames can really give a painting a beautifully finished look. I have been working on panels recently and these are difficult to hang without a frame. So I have purchased a couple of frames to test them out. I typically don’t spend extra money on frames so trying to decide how to move forward with these!
Transitions in Stone
I shipped a series of three paintings to a collector in Western Washington this weekend. They are all acrylic paintings on 24″x30″ dibondi panel.

American Parkinson Disease Association

I donated this painting to a fund raising auction taking place in Madison, WI April 22nd at the Blackhawk Country club. In support of our friends Chad and Greg, two great people!

Ugallery Sale

This one is on its way to New York!
Bound for Italy
This 12″x9″ painting is on it’s way to Florence, Italy. A beautiful place haven’t been since I was young.
It is a busy week of packing up art and mailing it all over the country and world. Washington, California, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, England, and Italy. I feel really honored to have so much interest in my work.
One day soon I hope to be done with my day job so I can focus on the work I really love.
Selling “Transitions”

This weekend I took the big road trip to pack up my Bainbridge Island solo show. On my return I took the ferry across to Edmonds, Wa and dropped this painting off at its new home. This is Ryan holding the painting, one of my very best friends. He talked me into putting my art online, I was resistant for years! He also told me about WordPress and I started my Instagram account shortly there after (@bsostrom) on his recommendation. Thanks Ryan!
Pack it up!

I am packing up my Bainbridge Island art show. Exhibits always seem to loom over my small world then they are over, like so many things in life.
Now a lot of driving and a lot of paintings to pack and ship. I am pleased to have sold so many works, now more to do for my next exhibit!
Morning Forest

This little 9″x7″ painting was a little experiment. I am playing around with some ideas with an eye towards larger work.
I painted this on a paintbook by edge gear pro. Really nice piece of equipment. It has a light mounted on top which especially helpful.
