This is one of five paintings I will be shipping to Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. I am still framing and mounting hardware on these pieces. Everything takes so much time!

A small painting I did as a commission. I am going to make some large moon related paintings so this was a nice warmup.
When the moon comes out in the winter it seems especially magic. The light is so limited in January.
I don’t like to plan, so much to do. Grand aspirations only seem to disappoint. The tedious artistic attitude, dissatisfied with work. I appreciate the positives regardless of the height. Nothing competes with the feeling of creation. Something new and alive, glimpsed through the pane.

Light, color and atmosphere are some of the elements I am obsessed with. So a small sunset painting before I really dig into the winter and forest imagery I am inspired to do.
This is a pretty special piece. One of those paintings that felt like it held some kind of magic. I know when I feel that way I have to put it aside.
It was too early to be awake.
I reached for the phone, 3:00 AM. The terrible dead-zone of night.
Something I must remember. Was it important or maybe a secret? Perhaps just a bill I had forgotten to pay. It’ll come to me if I can just get back to sleep, I’m sure it will.

I don’t have anymore answers. I ran out of questions long before. A simple hesitation turns to a silent moment. Another breath of air exhaled slow.

I am painting a group of 5″x5″ paintings for an upcoming exhibit with Abend Gallery. In the future I want to work on a mix of tiny and large paintings. Small works are such a great way to experiment and play with color schemes etc.

This painting was on of my top nine Instagram posts over 2019. The painting sold through Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, S.C.
A really great gallery I hope to visit first hand someday. Preferably during a North Idaho winter.

A modest sized acrylic painting. Continuing some rainbow exploration. I have some very large art panels waiting for me!
