Another one of my mini paintings. This piece is off to the Netherlands.

Winter sun is a precious thing. This is one of three little winter light studies I am working on.

I have been painting a lot of sunsets lately. Trying to capture the color shifts and play of light and atmosphere is something I am obsessed with!

I never took a finished photo of this painting. I still don’t have a proper photo! It is at least an interesting contrast in environments.

This painting is shipping to England today!
I am spending a lot of time varnishing, framing and packing art. So much work goes into each painting, I need an unpaid assistant!
This is a small collection of 10″x8″ paintings. I am experimenting with more aggressive mark making trying to boldly capture the morning light.
I am currently working on smaller paintings. After so many shows and deadlines this year I just want to paint and experiment and see where it goes!

I have taken on a commission to paint some small paintings at an unusual size. So I took the opportunity to prepare a number of extra boards at that size.
The title pretty much describes it. I love fog lifting through the trees in the early morning. Firs and pines standing still while light and shadows shift and swirl.

This is the second forest painting I have completed recently. The trees were inspired by my front yard! Both of the paintings are 24″x30″ acrylic paintings.

I have been meaning to paint some forest scenes for some time. I finally have completed one of the paintings on a 24″x30″ board.
