We just had a huge windstorm. The winds knocked down trees and took out the power all over the region. Nature always shifting, nothing stays the same. Even now the daylight is stretching and the sun is returning to the north.

Definitely one of my favorite recent works. It will be part of my solo exhibit at Abend Gallery in Denver this August.

This painting captures the spring transition here on Lake Pend Oreille. Currently much less snow than when I painted this a few weeks back.

Another painting in “The Woodlands” collection. I have an upcoming show at Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan.

Time relentlessly washing over, eroding and churning. I find myself surprisingly old, solitary and drifting into eccentricity. Each morning I wonder, “what kind of weirdo are you today?” Time reveals my charming weirdo ways.

Atmospherics and lighting are always intriguingly me. When nature stops me in my tracks, I take note.

I have a show opening May Day in Traverse City, Michigan. The gallery is Higher Art Gallery and the exhibit is called “The Woodlands”. I am continuing to add to my collection for the show. Not a lot of time left!

Two small paintings are headed off to Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado. I seem to be shipping a lot of little art their way lately. Come August I will have my huge solo show at Abend… excited but so much to do!

I just finalized this water piece. It was hanging out in the studio for a week and needed a little attention.
The title was stuck in my mind while I was painting this. It’s a famous line from a Kurt Vonnegut book.

Today I am shipping this painting to Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming.
Memory is a funny thing. Some of it is etched pretty deep into my mind, some of it takes flight. I learned the acronym “ROYGBIV” in a high school science class. I can’t look at a rainbow with out that popping into my mind. It is annoying, thanks school!
